Making a Splash!

Here's a short clip of The Sunshine Boyz's first dip in our backyard pond. I'm not kidding when I say it's short... it's 14 seconds!

  1. You do not even understand how happy this blog makes me :) I actually picked Carbo and Ortiz up from their owners home after the accident and they spent their first 4 days with me. They were such sweet sweet boys but so obviously confused at all that was going on...my heart was in pieces for them. Their owners sister struggled with wanting to make the best possible decision for the boys and I was so impressed with all they were dealing with that they made sure the boys did not go to a shelter and even on my ride out to pick them up she called me because people were calling and offering to take in the boys but we decided the best scenario was for us to bring them into rescue, give everyone some time and than place them in the best home for them versus rushing into an emotional placement with someone who may have been doing it just due to all the high emotions regarding the situation. I do know that their were children and I truly hope one day they get to see these posts because I think they would feel some relief that its so obvious that Carbo and Ortiz have ended up in an excellent home with a dream property to play on. I'm sure they will never forget the love their owner gave them and that he made them the wonderful dogs they are today but they are so lucky to have found you guys. I couldnt be happier reading your posts.

  2. Thank you so much for your heartfelt words. Their story was so sad... but you and the TSWR team stepped in and made sacrifices and choices that helped them get through. I can't imagine how hard it must have been to pick them up from their home, considering the circumstances. I would welcome the family to visit them, if they ever felt comfortable with that. I'm certain the kids will never ever forget these boys. They are incredible individual beings :o) I really appreciate knowing the details you gave... so thank you so much!
It gives me such joy to see them happy. They deserve it.
Every ball toss, every romp through the creek, every sprawled out nap makes me smile lol!
I have a sticker on my car "who rescued who". They came to us at the absolute perfect time. They make our lives so much better :o)
